On 1 September 2022, at around 6am, an FDS patrol was attacked by an unidentified armed group in Koko, near the Niangoloko forest in the province of Comoé. One person was reportedly slightly injured. The attackers were routed.

Terrorists lift the blockade of Boni

On 1 September 2022, a convoy left Douentza for Hombori in the Mopti region following the lifting of the terrorist blockade of Boni. Following an agreement between the population and the terrorists, the Boni fair will be able to resume.

Murder of a Malian soldier in Soumpi

On 3 September 2022, the body of Saliha ag Elmehdi was found near the locality of Soumpi in the Timbuktu region. A member of the FAMa, he had been kidnapped and had his throat cut by terrorists affiliated to JNIM.

On 4 September 2022, in response to the burning of houses in Sandiaba in the province of Koulpelogo, an alliance of Burkinabe and Togolese SDF and VDP ambushed the armed terrorist group responsible. The human toll was 16 terrorists killed and equipment seized. SDF suffered no human casualties.

Roadblock on the N3 between Kaya and Dori

On 8 September 2022, an unidentified armed group set up a roadblock on the N3 axis between Dori and Kaya. Two buses were searched, money and motorbikes were stolen.

Terrorist attack on the Yorosso prefecture

During the night of 8 to 9 September 2022, an armed terrorist group stormed the prefecture and the security infrastructure of the locality of Yorosso in the Sikasso region. The attackers are believed to have come from the village of Boura, 20km from Yorosso. No one was injured or killed.
