Control of the situation in Kati by FAMa.
The FAMa command announced on July 22 that the situation was under control in Kati, according to local sources. To secure the area, the FAMa deployed on several strategic axes in Bamako. It concluded that the latest attack on Kati was indeed an incursion by JNIM and AQIM with rocket fire and suicide attacks. The attack on the morning of July 22 resulted in one FAMa death and five wounded; one civilian was also injured. On the terrorist side, 7 were killed and 8 were arrested.

JNIM attack on a base in Bamako.
The JNIM group, affiliated with the terrorist organization Alqaeda, claimed responsibility for the July 23 attack on Mali’s main military base near Bamako. The attack left one terrorist dead and six injured.
VDP kills 3 terrorists
A VDP killed three terrorists in his field before being shot (Sourou province). He had time to grab his weapon and shoot at least three terrorists before he was killed when he ran out of ammunition.

Katiba Macina claims Kati attack
