Ambush against a convoy of the GTIA Aifarouk 4 km from Diartou, Timbuktu.

On 04 July 2021, at around 10:20 am, a supply convoy of the battle group Aifarouk (MINUSMA) leaving Soumpi for Léré was ambushed by heavily armed men. One vehicle was destroyed, 5 soldiers were killed and several wounded, 2 of them seriously.
