A vehicle hit an IED in Bourzanga
| On 1 July 2022, a vehicle in Djibo’s convoy hit an IED on the Route Nationale 22 at Bourzanga. The human toll was four dead, two injured and material damage. |
Simultaneous attack on the gendarmerie and the town hall of Zéguédéghin.
| On 01 July 2022, unidentified armed individuals fired a gun at the gendarmerie in Zéguédéghin killing one gendarme. The assailants then set fire to the gendarmerie and the town hall. Equipment and telephone antennas were destroyed, isolating the area from the rest of the country. |
ISGS attack on Ifosnelo village
| On the afternoon of 01 July 2022, a terrorist group affiliated to the EIGS carried out an attack on the village of Ifosnelo, 5km south of Talatayé. Anar Ag Abdou Rahman and two other men were killed by the terrorists. |

| On 2 July 2022, terrorists on 80 motorbikes and four vehicles regrouped 18km east of Timissa. Witnesses at the scene said they intended to attack the town of Timissa. |
